ESSAY OUTLINES II (POINT OF ANALYSIS PRODUCTION)

'DISCUSS THE SIGNIFICANCE OF NARRATIVE POINT OF VIEW IN TWO OR MORE WORKS YOU HAVE STUDIED. IN EACH CASE, CONSIDER HOW THE POINT OF VIEW IS USED TO SUPPORT THE TEXT'S THEMES.'

BASED ON THE ABOVE THESIS STATEMENT, PRODUCE AT LEAST 3 POINTS OF ANALYSIS (INCLUDING EXPLANATIONS OF HOW THEY ARE PLANNED TO BE USED RELEVANTLY TO THE THESIS).
*NO REPETITION OF IDEAS WILL BE ACCEPTED SO IT BEHOOVES YOU ALL TO CHECK THE PREVIOUS POSTS IN ORDER TO NOT PRODUCE ANY OF THE SAME POINTS.
NO INTRODUCTION WILL BE NECESSARY FOR THIS ACTIVITY AND A VERY BRIEF SYNOPSIS (ONE SENTENCE) OF YOUR CONCLUSION WILL BE SUFFICIENT.

ALTERNATIVE POST OPTION:
1. PRODUCE YOUR OWN THESIS QUESTION/STATEMENT WHICH BASES ITSELF UPON A STYLISTIC DEVICE JUSTIFIED BY AN EXPLANATION OF WHY THIS THESIS HAS LITERARY IMPORTANCE AND DESERVES ITS OWN STUDY THEN ALSO PRODUCE AN OUTLINE BASED ON YOUR OWN THESIS UNDER THE SAME CONDITIONS AS EXPLAINED ABOVE.

"HOW DO CHARACTERS RESOLVE SITUATIONS WHERE THEY MAY FEEL TRAPPED BY THIER SURROUNDINGS?"

BASED ON THE ABOVE QUESTION, PRODUCE AN EFFECTIVE ESSAY OUTLINE IN ACCORDANCE WITH HOW YOU HAVE BEEN INSTRUCTED WITHOUT REPEATING ANY IDEAS ALREADY POSTED.

ALTERNATIVE POSTS:
1. PRODUCE A NEW, VALID THESIS QUESTION AND EXPLAIN WHY IT DESERVES STUDY, THEN AN ESSAY OUTLINE BASED ON YOUR QUESTION. (NO PREVIOUSLY STUDIED QUESTION OR OUTLINE FROM CLASS WILL BE ACCEPTED).

2. CREATE AN INTRODUCTION ACCORDING TO HOW YOU HAVE BEEN INSTRUCTED WHICH INCLUDES ALL NECESSARY CONTENT.

POETIC ANALYSIS AND INTERPRETATION

Sinful serpent, who shall carry thy burdens?
Shameful beast, how dost thee commit such actions?
Sorrow may be felt from on high in the Tree of Knowledge.
She followed thy suggestions, acted on thy temptations.

Sinful serpent, who dare frame thy fearful symmetry?
Shameful beast, how dost thy prey think of thee?
Sorrow may be felt from on high by those who lack enlightenment.
Imaginative creators created creative imaginations.

DRAMATIC ANALYSIS AND INTERPRETATION

WILLY: Oh, Biff! [Staring wildly] He cried! Cried to me. [He is choking with love, and now cries out his promise.] That boy—that boy is going to be magnificent!
[BEN appears in the light just outside the kitchen.]
BEN: Yes, outstanding, with twenty thousand behind him.
LINDA [sensing the racing of his mind, fearfully, carefully]: Now come to bed, Willy. It’s all settled now.
WILLY [finding it difficult not to rush out of the house]: Yes, we’ll sleep. Come on. Go to sleep, Hap.
BEN: And it does take a great kind of man to crack the jungle.
[In accents of dread, BEN’S idyllic music starts up.]
HAPPY [his arm around LINDA]: I’m getting married, Pop, don’t forget it. I’m changing everything. I’m gonna run that department store before the year is up. You’ll see, Mom. [He kisses her.]
BEN: The jungle is dark but full of diamonds, Willy.
[WILLY turns, moves, listening to BEN.]
LINDA: Be good. You’re both good boys, just act that way, that’s all.
HAPPY: ‘Night, Pop. [He goes upstairs.]
LINDA [to WILLY]: Come, dear.
BEN [with greater force]: One must go in and fetch a diamond out.
WILLY [to LINDA as she moves slowly along the edge of the kitchen, toward the door]: I just want to get settled down, Linda. Let me sit alone for a little.
LINDA [almost uttering her fear]: I want you upstairs.
WILLY [taking her in his arms]: In a few minutes, Linda. I couldn’t sleep right now. Go, on, you look awful tired. [He kisses her.]
BEN: Not like an appointment at all. A diamond is rough and hard to the touch.
WILLY: Go on now. I’ll be right up.
